Follow Along

Program Overview

The Follow Along Support Program assists Latino families with children ages 1 to 3 in enrolling in the Follow Along Program through the Minnesota Department of Health. The program promotes early childhood development by increasing access to developmental screening and family education within culturally responsive frameworks.

Program Objective

  • Support Latino families in registering for the Follow Along Program

  • Promote healthy development for children ages 1–3

  • Increase awareness of early childhood developmental milestones

  • Identify participation barriers and provide feedback to MDH to improve program access

  • Educate families on the benefits and impact of early developmental screening

Program Impact

The Follow Along Support Program strengthens early childhood outcomes by increasing participation in developmental screening and improving families’ understanding of their child’s growth. It also contributes to system-level improvements by identifying barriers and informing more equitable access to services for Latino communities.
