Established in 1974, Centro Tyrone Guzman is the oldest and largest multi-service Latino organization in Minneapolis, serving more than 7,000 individuals annually through a holistic array of programs.
Our decades of demonstrated commitment have positioned Centro Tyrone Guzman as a trusted leader both within and outside of the Latino community. Our key strategies are education, health and wellness, and engagement.
Centro Tyrone Guzman’s evidence-based, family-centered, culturally responsive services directly address health and educational disparities, while partnering with Latin@s to help change systems, structures, and mindsets that perpetuate disparities and generational poverty.
Centro Tyrone Guzman is located in the South Minneapolis Phillips community, near the corner of Franklin and Chicago Avenues. On-site, we have gathering spaces for youth and elders, community meeting and workshop rooms, and staff offices. Centro Tyrone Guzman is easily accessed by bus.
The organization is led by Executive Director Roxana Linares, in conjunction with a committed and engaged staff and board.
